2007 Toyota Tundra New Owner Reports
2009 Toyota Tundra
Hey guys I currently own a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. It has about 55K miles and so far I've had no problems with the truck. My mileage is also somewhat decent. I am averaging 18 MPG all over. But I saw a Tundra a week ago and it was also very nice. It was a double-cab 5.7 l V8 2x4. I own a Dodge Ram quad-cab 5.7 l 2x4, and I was wondering what is new on the 2009 model Tundra's and what ... Read More...
Re: the best tool for removing the O2 sensor [ppisano]
The O2 sensors are a chronic problem on 2000 to 2005 Tundras (don't know about 2006 & up). HOWEVER, I had two sensors replaced by the Toyota dealer on my 2000 Tundra IN WARRANTY. There is a 5-year warranty on those parts. Since you have a 2003, check to make sure you are out of warranty before doing the job yourself. Further, a third one went out on me about 3 months ago. ... Never Again
Ok, so perhaps my 2006 Tundra was built on a Friday before a holiday or something...but whatever the reason for all the problems with the vehicle it has made my decision on what type of truck to own next a little easier. TOYOTA will NOT be one of my choices. From brake and compressor problems to 'clunking in the rear end' to tire wear...I would NEVER own another one ... Read More...
Re: 1 Ton Diesel Tundra [paisan]
I think all manufactures have their issue with certain models. If I remember correctly the sludge issue w/ the Camry and Sienna was mainly due to consumers not changing their oil at the recommended intervals. As for the camshafts on the new 5.7 lite Tundra. I think I remember reading that it was only about 2,000 or so units out of 170k sold for '07 that were effected. ... Read More...

MT 2008 Truck of the Year....Thoughts?
Re: MT 2008 Truck of the Year....Thoughts? [cruiser69]
Haha. The MTTOTY award is a complete joke. I said it last year even when the Silverado won it. The RIDGELINE won it in 2006, need I say more? BTW, the Tundra did NOT go up against the HD's in this year's test. They are compared to their own competition in their own class. This year was simply Toyota's "turn". Next year Ford or Dodge will win it, in 2010 it will be someone ... Read More...

TRUCK OF THE YEAR
Motor Tread announced today just after 1PM that the 2008 Tundra is the truck of the year! http://www.wtol.com/Global/story.asp?S=7513296 I do stand to be corrected for the sales stats. By the end of this month Toyota could possibly see 200 thousand trucks sold in the year of 2007 All other pick up sales were down Tundra had an increase When comparing current ... Read More...
Re: TRUCK OF THE YEAR [b2900]
Interesting, your assumption is that Toyota which are close to becoming one of the biggest auto manufactures in North America with sales based on customer satisfaction, quality and higher resale will not be able to produce a full size pick up? No, Toyota definately produced the bloated Tundra, which is truly full-sized. Just don't put any significant weight ... Read More...
