subaru impreza engine problem
Hi, I have a 2007 subaru impreza 1.5 engine, automatic (1000 miles on it) . It is a great car when it works. If the weather is too warm (above 77 degree Fahrenheit) or cold (below -2.2 degree Fahrenheit), I cannot start the engine. The engine makes very weak sound than usual. The engine light does not behave strangely. (A subaru mechanic said that if something was ... Read More...
Re: Very Close [ateixeira]
I think the 2008 Imprezas (unlike the 2000 lbs rating of the prior generation) are not rated to tow ? If so, then would there be any issues with fitting a hitch onto them ? I don't think Subaru sells one for the 2008 models and I would wonder why ? They did sell one in the past for the 2007 and prior year models. Read More...
Re: MT or AT [spagball]
I'm surprised with the poor sales on the AT WRX. I am not surprised at all. Subaru deliberately crippled the AT version, with a 4-speed AT, when even $13K Honda Fits have been appearing for several years with a 5-speed AT. On top of that, from the 2008 model year, they quietly removed the VTD Differentials (Center differential with planetary gears that split power ... Read More...
Subaru Impreza Brake Questions
Re: abs+vdc lights [impreza2008]
I really appreciate being able to read about your experience with your Impreza. Although my brake switch was replaced at the end of February and so far I haven't encountered further problems, I'm certainly taking it on a day-by-day basis. It is a great car when it's working. Thank you for taking the time and effort to keep everyone up to date. If the 2008 Impreza ... Read More...
VDC, ABS, Hill holder warning lights
On Nov. 30, 2007, I took possession of my brand new 2008 Subaru Impreza, 2.5i sedan (premium package, 5M) and starting at about 400 km, the warning lights appeared and the VDC, ABS, and hill holder functions were disengaged. Restarting the car cleared the warning lights until the next time it happened. When I initially took the car in, there were no diagnostic ... Read More...

Re: Lease on 2007 2.5i wagon or WRX wagon [stompman76]
Hello Jeremy. Let's work up a lease payment on the car that you're interested in and see what we come up with. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon that has an MSRP of $25,927 and a selling price of $24,500 (I backed out the $1,000 cash incentive because it is not compatible with the WRX's special lease program) through ... STi Review
Ok, so I finally am able to sit back, relax, and give you guys my impressions of the 08 STi, first hand, non journalist view, non professional view of it.... Let me preface my write-up in that I've been a Subaru fan for years, starting in the late 80s when my cousin bought a 1988 XT6. I bought my first Subaru in 1997, a 1988 XT6. It wasn't perfect, the air-suspension needed ... Read More...
Re: Impreza/WRX Review [moparbad]
You are still in the wrong thread to be discussing sales of non-Imprezas. Subaru Impreza sales are way up for the 3rd month in a row. Every single month since the new Impreza has been out. That's not bad news for the Subaru Impreza no matter how you try to spin it. That's like me saying you are skinny because your uncle lost weight. :D You should be here instead: ateixeira, ...
