2006 Nissan Titan SE 4dr King Cab SB (5.6L 8cyl 5A)

Review

Bought this from original owner in Jan. of '08 with 22k. It's got 37k on it and it's been a great ride so far. No squeaks, solid as a rock, FAST, handsome and just plain fun. I get 16 mpg in town and 18-19 on the road. It's my daily driver, handles small truck tasks (hauling stuff, etc.) and the king cab works great to take my wife and daughter on trips. I have step rails and a bed cap - highly recommended. Put your luggage in the back and you're off!

Favorite Features

Looks, center console, rear sliding window (slides down, not side-to-side!), power on demand, aluminum wheels

Suggested Improvements

Wiper control easy to hit by mistake, upholstery stains easily

2006 Nissan Titan LE 4dr Crew Cab SB (5.6L 8cyl 5A)

Review

Coming straight from an 01 F150 supercrew with the 5.4L Titan, there is no comparison! Hands down this truck is the pinnacle of power, acceleration and comfort. I quickly found that people who only get 12~16 mpg are heavy on the throttle! It's got power, but jumping into that power from a stand still is costly. It's fun to drive because of the power.. but if you use that power (all the time), you'll pay for it at the pump. With normal driving, I can average 17~19.5 mpg. Hey..it's a truck. If I wanted 30 mpg, I would have purchased a car. This truck is a solid performer and I love it.

Favorite Features

Armrests, nav and DVD systems. Well placed controls, once you learn the cool cockpit feel. Auto up/down front windows and sunroof. Side bed compartment is genius!! It's excellent for storing side rail and bed tie down cleats. Rear seat flip up, underseat divided storage tray ..I could go on & on

Suggested Improvements

Make it taller. 20" rims are nice, but an optional lift kit would have been great. Engine packages for better fuel economy or power. OEM bolt on devices would be a nice way to accomplish this as well.

Review

It's coming up to 3 yrs since I bought my Titan. The cabin is very comfy, seats are soft, leg room all around is fantastic. Loads of power from the big V8, the truck is quiet with a decent sound system and has lots of fun toys like the bluetooth and an ipod connect. It rides very well for big a truck, easy over the bumps but feels very rugged at the same time. Definitely underrated in the truck segment. I just turned 50,000 miles with ZERO problems. I'm just now looking at purchasing new tires... GREAT TRUCK

Favorite Features

I really like the creature features... iPod connect and bluetooth are probably my faves.

Suggested Improvements

I have a magnaflow exhaust and put on a NISMO air intake... worth the money!

Review

I am a mom and grandma of 3 and always wanted a truck and finally got one and I am so happy with this truck. It is so roomy and 6 of us can fit into it very easily. The gas is pretty brutal though. And I have one of Nissan's tailgate extenders and once you lose one of the knobs they are irreplaceable, so whatever you do, don't lose one. This truck is so powerful and fun to drive and my sons love it too. My grandsons love the entertainment system. I love all the exterior chrome on the outside. You really feel like you're in a big, safe vehicle.

Favorite Features

Truck has a roomy interior, I like the way the seats in the rear go up to put large items in the back seat. I like the size of the side mirrors, and I am relly impressed with the power of this truck. The air conditioning works really well and cools off the truck quickly.

Suggested Improvements

I do not like how the windshield wiper control is so close to the steering wheel. It is too easy to accidentally hit. The noise of the muffler is horrible. The dvd system shoud have buttons on the dash 4 the driver to be able to push. Where they are now it is to hard to get to while driing.

Review

Owned my 2006 Titan Crew cab LE 4x4 FFV since April 07 and am very satisfied. Love the smooth ride and power. Sometimes forget I'm in a full size truck. Only had a problem with the radio going out out on me but the dealer replaced it. Looked at the F150 but found the rear seating more comfortable in the Titan (Important on long trips). Looked at the Tundra but to have it equipped like the Titan would have run up in the 45k area.

Favorite Features

Driver comfort, headroom, looks, rear liftgate damper, Rockford Fosgate system and the acceleration.

Suggested Improvements

Can't think of any.

Review

Overall truck does ride smoothly. Power and concept is good. Features and trim are cheaply built. Two weeks new embroidered "TITAN" on floor mats unglued. Since then, edging interior and exterior along rear window, front windshield, and other areas pops up and has to be resecured. Front captains chair shifts like it is not locked into place. Mileage is terrible but it is a truck and new that going in. Power is fun. Truck does ride well and interior room is nice versus tundra.

Favorite Features

Power. Fun to drive. Little road noise - quiet.

Suggested Improvements

Trim on vehicle is weak. Some interior items are lack quality. Improve fuel economy. Best mileage downhill with a tailwind driving 60mph has been 16. Normally 11-14.

Review

This is the best truck ever. We have had it for a little over a year. I don't get to drive it often because I bought it for my husband. We got the no fear package on it. Looks great and even with it being raised it drives really smooth. It doesn't make tight turns at all with the no fear package. Which only matters in small parking spots and don't even think about dong u turns. We don't drive it much these days with cali gas prices.

Favorite Features

The captains chairs in the front.

Suggested Improvements

Gas! need I say more?

2006 Nissan Titan XE 4dr King Cab SB (5.6L 8cyl 5A)

Review

This truck has a lot to offer a tough powerful v8 engine, nice styling inside and out. It's big and bold from the door handles to its frame and spacious interior.

Favorite Features

The standard v8 engine with 305 hp and 379 lb ft of torque. The door handles inside and out are big and make it easy to open even with gloves on and the gauges big and easily readable.

Suggested Improvements

The availability of a power package for the xe model king cab and also some minor interior accommodations for the xe model, i.e overhead sunglass storage, tinted rear windows w/sliding rear windshield.

Review

Love Nissan & love the Titan! Have towed cars, moved people in & outta houses. Has amazing power, it's roomy, comfortable and extremely quiet when driven. I think it's the best deal when compared to the competition. It's tough and does whatever you want it to do. Nissan tried the full size pick up segment & did a great job. It has power, room, it fun 2 drive, it a beast of a vehicle. I just wish it had better fuel economy and interior materials.

Favorite Features

VK56DE powerplant, transmission, tows any & everything, room, quietness, awesome sounding exhaust, feeling of safety & power, Nissan reliability & durability, well thought out features.

Suggested Improvements

Fuel economy, interior materials could be better, passenger seat squeaks haven't been fixed after 4 tries, panel gaps, needs more models & engine choices. 08 model is a great improvement in every aspect! Good job Nissan to quickly address short comings!

Review

This is by far the best pickup I've ever owned. The ride quality, design, ergonomics are the best. You can not find a better pick-up on the market. The quality is excellent. I think it has a well thought out interior and exterior. Take a test drive and you'll buy it. 17 MPG on average.

Favorite Features

The stereo is great, the sunroof is great and you can get it on an SE model, not the top of the line of the others. The exhaust sounds aggressive but not too loud.

Suggested Improvements

I can't think of anything but the gas mileage, still, not bad compared to the competition.
