this truck is awsome! i traded in a dodge ram 1500 because it had horrible pulling power. i have pulled the same trailers with my titan but with ease. Drives great! very easy ride!i wouldn't buy any other truck since i have owned my titan!! the power is great. it is always there when or if i need it. i haven't had any problems since i have bought it. thanks nissan!!

Favorite Features

there is so much room in this truck, i don't even mind sitting in the back!we have been a a few long trips and it has been comfortable for the whole family.love the 6 cd player, the back power window that goes down awsome. i have gotten so many compliments on this truck. love it!!

Suggested Improvements

fuel economy could be better, or maybe a diesel?

Horrible Gas Mileage

Review

The looks and towing on this truck combined with the comparisons to Ford and Toyota is what prompted us to buy this truck. Big Mistake! The gas mileage is 9mpg city and 11mpg hwy. In the first month the airbag light works when it wants to, the radio was completely shot, things under the hood like the fuse box are very difficult to get to and it really feels the weight when towing affecting the ride. Would not recommend for the money.

Favorite Features

The interior and optional features are nice for a truck in this class. Like the dual air, the warmers and the plug and play ready DVD. The interior is nice and the dash is ahead of others in its class.

Suggested Improvements

Gas mileage, and please someone make an aftermarket programmer for this truck!

Nissan Got it Right

Review

Nissan got it right when they built this truck. As a life-long F-150 man, I was skeptical getting into a different truck, but the Titan blew me away! The horsepower, towing capacity, handling and comfort are just as good or better than other full-size pick- ups. Plus, the sticker price is considerably less than other comparably- equipped pick-ups. I got a fully- loaded truck for thousands less than other manufacturers could offer. What a great truck!

Favorite Features

Power slide-down rear window. Towing package is great. Comfortable, roomy cab, both in the front and back. Radio and cruise control buttons on steering wheel.

Suggested Improvements

Make the spray-on bedliner standard in all models of the Titan. The only other thing that could be improved on this truck would be to give it a little better gas mileage. The Titan is like most other pick-ups in that MPG is in the teens. Other than that, nothing needs to be changed on this truck.

Very pleased with the purchase of my 2006 titan. This vehicle is a pleasure to drive. It is apparent a lot of thought and research went into the design of the this functional as well as pratical vehicle. I am not equally as pleased with my servicing nissan dealership. I hope R Nissan located in Edgewood Maryland is an exception to all other dealership.

Favorite Features

The rear door on my kingcap that open wider than other kingcaps or extended cabs and the stero.

Suggested Improvements

Modify the rear doors on the kingcabs in such a way that they have a fully function window that would be able to lower and raise as desired. Install the utility bed in all models .

I did my background before buying. I'm happy with the vehicle. Great power. I' having better results with gas mileage that has been reported. Try synthetic oil, mobile1. I get 15.0 In town and 19.7 On the highway. This is with about 3600 miles on the truck. Quiet ride. I also have a fiber glass topper which helps with the mileage.

Power room, finish. The way the rear door opens wide.

Power window and locks standard on all models

I've owned trucks for over a decade and this is by far the toughest, most powerful truck I've ever been in. It can tow, haul, and go offroad like nothing I've ever seen. It can stand up to harsh off road and farm life. Best truck in its class by far.

better fuel economy but its a 305 horse power beast what can you expect.

Review

I bought a Titan last weekend and I'm very happy. I've only encounter one minor design flaw which has to do with the shape of the window that allows rain or dew to drip into the cabin even if the window is barely cracked open. This problem with time will damage the door switches and/or the door itself. Easy to fix however by installing wind/rain deflectors. Bought the truck based solely on Edmunds reviews...didn't even take it for a test drive.Great job doing evaluations that help us, the consumers.

Start offering a Nissan designed wind/rain deflector as an option.

Review

I waited a couple of years before buying my titan to see how the truck held up. To me, I am very pleased to see how solid the titan is. The power, the looks, the excitement, the reliability, and the compliments has kept me happy about my titan. I am impressed with how much more power is there even while towing a trailer loaded with my other car going 70-80 mph with a/c on. My only suggestion when towing is making sure there is automatic trailer brakes or replaced the stock brakes with heavy duty brakes.

solid comfortable drive; 5.6 liter power; smooth tranny; back seats; being able to automatically lower back window; solid controlled steering; location of gear shift; roomy interior

Suggested Improvements

needs heavy duty brakes when towing; option with bushwhackers; stock lifts on trucks; option with more aggressive hood(ex. hood scoop); roof racks; broader grill design; better 6 cd changer; better leather;

We love our new Nissan Titan. It is the best purchase we made. Out of all the cars and trucks we have owned, this is the best.

The full back seat with tons of leg room.
