Alot of BANG for the BUCK!!!

Review

My wife and I bought this as a replacement for our 2006 Honda Civic. It has tons (and I mean Tons) of power and it is very fun to drive. The reason for purchase and one of the best features is all the leg room! I am 6' tall and I felt cramped in the civic. This has a great driving position and offers adjustable pedals. Steering wheel audio controls are nice too! The exhaust has a real throaty sound that combines nicely with the rugged design. I would buy another today!

Favorite Features

POWER, roomy, exhaust, plush interior (except fabric), commanding feel on road, options.

Suggested Improvements

Fabric change, some sort of console insert so that it is not sooo deep when you don't need it to be.

The Perfect Year of the TITAN

Review

I purchased the 2006 base XE model TITAN with the Big Tow package. By far, this truck has had no problems. The previous years-like 04 rotor warping, or first year bugs- were not found in this truck. 27,000 miles and counting, this truck has had zero problems! The acceleration, handling, and reliability show that Nissan did their homework on this truck and broke the barrier of the 1/2 ton rut the Big Three have traditionally made. Styling keeps the truck distinct, 5 speed tranny knows which gear to shift to, the 5.6L V8 with its underrated 305hp gives a Hemi a kick in the pants, and the simplicity inside the truck doesn't make the truck boring-but not over done.

Favorite Features

Being the performance guru I am, I love the 5.6L V8 w/32v and DOHC. The beast just pulls hard and in any certain load, it feels like there isn't any. Cornering and Handling. 6 disc CD changer is awesome, and the AUX adapter for my mp3 player is a must. Even the stock sound system is nice

Suggested Improvements

*Gas mileage-What do you expect? *Ride Comfort- Its a TRUCK w/a solid axle and box ladder frame. *Turning Circle- Again, its a truck. *E-Brake position- Use to cars, Have to get use to this clutch style position.

Not a Real Full Size Truck

Review

The driver seat (capt. chair) does not allow full size people to set comfortable like Ford and Chevy. Slip feature causes the vehicle to lose power, which leads to getting stuck in mud or snow much easier than the competition. After about 5000 miles rattles and squeaks appear. The heated seats are more like warmer seats. Front-end sits too low (does not set level) Major vibration at 80 mph on cement roads. Difficult to change oil. After only 200 miles I have a major warranty list. After washing it the first time I would say there are too many emblems, it needs less external detail. It does have great power and sound system.

Favorite Features

Power and torque, sound system, rear slider, tool box, auto up and down windows, sprayed in bed liner.

Suggested Improvements

Get rid of the slip system it does not work. Auto dim rear view mirror needs a switch to permanently turn it off, Thicker Bigger and more plush seats. 10 way adjustable pass seat. I thought the fit and quality would be better. Less road and muffler noise.

POWER POWER POWER I love this Nissan Titan. It has everything you could possible want in a 4x4 truck. Nissan did everything right. I have owned all of the others. Hey Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and Toyota. You are falling way behind Copy this truck. It is the best. If you drive it You WILL buy it.

Favorite Features

Power, engine, transmission, seats, lights in the bed, and tailgate, stereo WOW, everything is where it should be.

Suggested Improvements

Sure I would like 2 - 4 more miles to a gallon of gas. If that is what you want buy a Toyota Corolla. I chose a Nissan Titan. This is an awesome TRUCK.

Review

i traded in an F-150 for my titan. many options on my titan were not even available on the 150. this truck has excellent power for towing an 8300 lb boat. great stereo system and tons of room in the back seat. best truck i have owned!

nav system; towing capacity; roominess; pickup bed track system.

Suggested Improvements

needs beefier fenders(flares) similar to the frontier and also needs to increase wheel size to 20 inches

Bad Tranny

We just bought this titan crew cab and it has less then 5000 miles on it and it slams into reverse. whats with that. but driving the tranny doesn't struggle at all. all its power is easily put to the tires. never had a bad shift when driving. just putting it into reverse. other than that it's a great vehicle.

First Gear is really low for pulling. 4*4. Love the components in the dash

build the tranny so it don't slam into reverse. its brand NEW.

The best full size truck i ever had and i had a lot of trucks. I tell all the guys at work to buy one. The truck is big inside and looks good on the outside

I just bought my 2006 Titan and all I can say is...WOW!!!! This truck has all the bells and whistles that Ford and Chevy has but with a lower ticket price. It handles like a dream and is the most comfortable truck i have owned. This truck and me will be around for many years to come.

Some Problems But Love My Titan

Review

Bought my Titan back in July and have enjoyed it. 2 problems with the Titan so far. 1 - Leak from the A/C drain into the passenger's side. Researching this has been a problem since 04 so should not have happened but did. 2 - Water leak from rear window. Took the dealer (Sheehy Nissan, MD) 3x's plus a call to Nissan USA to fix it. All in all no other problems and enjoy driving it. I have added a billet grille, chrome tube steps, tonneau cover and DVD system. Plan on keeping this truck for awhile.

Favorite Features

Power, Power, Power. Truch if fun to drive and the power is there when you need it especially in traffic.

Suggested Improvements

Some known problems that should be corrected before vehicles are sold. Check the TSB's and anyone can see that some problems have been around a long time and should be corrected at the factory.

Review

Just like the title says. This truck is fast, can tow, haul, and take me anywhere I want to go. Looks are great and I definitely will put a smile on your face every time you drive it. I cannot say that for many vehicles I've owned in the past. I've had F150's in the past(never again) and this thing beats it in all categories hand down. Drive one and you will know what I am talking about!!!

Favorite Features

305 HP and 375 ft lbs of torque, rear sliding window, locking side storage box, 10K lbs towing, great sounding exhaust, tailgate assist!

Suggested Improvements

I think Nissan did an excellent job with ironing out all their problems on the '04 and '05 and got it right in '06 and still improving for '07. For a vehicle that is only 3 years old, the problems on it are minimal. Fords have been making trucks for how long, can't get it right??
