The Titanic
Vehicle
2006 Nissan Titan SE FFV 4dr King Cab 4WD SB (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
Love Nissan & love the Titan! Have towed cars, moved people in & outta houses. Has amazing power, it's roomy, comfortable and extremely quiet when driven. I think it's the best deal when compared to the competition. It's tough and does whatever you want it to do. Nissan tried the full size pick up segment & did a great job. It has power, room, it fun 2 drive, it a beast of a vehicle. I just wish it had better fuel economy and interior materials.
Favorite Features
VK56DE powerplant, transmission, tows any & everything, room, quietness, awesome sounding exhaust, feeling of safety & power, Nissan reliability & durability, well thought out features.
Suggested Improvements
Fuel economy, interior materials could be better, passenger seat squeaks haven't been fixed after 4 tries, panel gaps, needs more models & engine choices. 08 model is a great improvement in every aspect! Good job Nissan to quickly address short comings!
Super Titan

Review
This is by far the best pickup I've ever owned. The ride quality, design, ergonomics are the best. You can not find a better pick-up on the market. The quality is excellent. I think it has a well thought out interior and exterior. Take a test drive and you'll buy it. 17 MPG on average.
Favorite Features
The stereo is great, the sunroof is great and you can get it on an SE model, not the top of the line of the others. The exhaust sounds aggressive but not too loud.
Suggested Improvements
I can't think of anything but the gas mileage, still, not bad compared to the competition.
Better Than Expected!

I own an auto repair business and was looking for a new personal truck. This truck is amazing. It sets the bar a lot higher for the other truck makers. Ride, performance, ease of service, etc.
Favorite Features
Extra little things like the tool box in the rear fender, drain in the rear diff., easy to service. Awsome power!
Suggested Improvements
Tray for the console, some way to keep the things in the door and console pockets from making noise. Better fuel economy (it's a truck with power).

Bought this truck over a year ago, have over 26,000 miles and it is the best. Powerful, comfortable, good stability, good brakes, excelent handling! Installed two magnaflows and improved a couple of miles per gallon. This truck is well built and will keep high resale value.
Favorite Features
Quality built, power, torque, cabin design, luxury, stereo system, tranny, acceleration.
Suggested Improvements
Dual exhaust pipes system would improve gas mileage.

I had a 2005, kingcab 2x2 xe. Traded for a 2006 LE 4X4. I love this truck also! I've been a Nissan certified tech since 1989 now been with Infiniti for 9 yrs. I know Nissan. The Titan, for the money, cannot be beaten.
Favorite Features
Quiet ride, power, handling.
Suggested Improvements
Stillen supercharger! Nismo long tube headers and Banks monster exhaust, that would do it :)

Best truck for the $$

Review
Having owned this truck for 9 months, I feel it is definitely the best truck I have ever owned (previously GMC, Ford). At the time I purchased Some other trucks may boast a little more HP or more backseat leg room but I am more than satisfied with the power, seldom haul NBA centers in my backseat, and paid about $9000 less than a comparably priced '07 Tundra would sell for. In 8000 miles, I have not had the truck in for any service other than oil changes. It has just been flawless so far.

Good and Bad

2006 Nissan Titan LE 4dr Crew Cab SB (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
Bought my 06' Titan in June 06'. Have had it back to the dealer 6 times for small problems (windows, door handle problems for example). Problems seem to be fixed and love the truck otherwise. Great power, fun to drive and handles my 23 ft. camper so much better than my last Ford truck did. That five speed transmission is fantastic pulling a heavy load. My Ford couldn't do the highway speed limit and sounded like it would blow when it would downshift going up the smallest incline. The Titan's five speed tranny handles the speed and inclines wonderfully and I couldn't be happier. Well, maybe with a few more miles per gallon. E85 fuel economy is brutal in this vehicle.
Favorite Features
Engine, Radio, Power Rear Window, Transmission.
Suggested Improvements
Not the best looking truck on the market. Front end needs to be overhauled. Someone said it best in a review before mine when they said it could use a wheel flares and the orange lights on the dash get a little tough at night.

Great Truck.... Not so Great MPG
Vehicle
2006 Nissan Titan XE 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
I have owned them all.... so far this is the best truck and one of the best vehicles that I have owned. I traded a Nissan 350Z convertible in (now that my mid-life crisis has passed). It is very roomy and comfortable. I put over 2K miles on it in the first week of ownership. Drove from TN to AL and only averaged 13 mpg. Was expecting about 17 mpg. It may get better with the summer fuel mix and a moderate break in. Easily cruises at 85 mph. Hmmm... did I say that I get poor MPG? I do have the Off Road and Big Tow packages so that accounts for a lower gear ratio which probably hurts MPG a bit. But YOWSA!!!! This thing will move down the road!
Favorite Features
Power, smoothness of ride, quiet interior, interior storage compartments, wireless headphone with rear controls for audio. Did I say power?
Suggested Improvements
Maybe a different gear ratio for imporved MPG. Make automatic headlights standard equipment. Add AC outlets (i.e. Toyota) for plugging of laptops, etc.
