Great American Built Truck
Vehicle
2006 Nissan Titan XE FFV 4dr Crew Cab SB (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
I was going to trade-in my 05 Mustang GT and buy a F150, but the dealership irritated me so I drove around the corner to Nissan. I didn't want to buy a foriegn truck, but I discovered that it is made here along with the V-8 engine, and the Ford is made in Canada. It can out-tow, accelerate, and brake all light duty trucks. The interior rivals that of my wife's Infiniti. The performance is outstanding, fit and finish is top notch. It has more passenger room than my old 2002 Navigator. Drive one and you too will buy one. I love this truck!!
Favorite Features
Interior space, the navigation system (it is tied into most vehicle functions; like maintenance schedules, avg. speed & mpg, climate controls, etc..), engine performance, luxury appointments. The back seats actually being vinyl is a nice touch for those of us with dogs or use the back for storage.
Suggested Improvements
I can't complain about gas mileage, it is a full size truck. I wish I could have kept the power folding mirror function with the tow mirrors.
best truck hands down

I have always been a Dodge truck fan, until the Titan came into the picture. I test drove every large truck on the market, and none of them compare to the standard available power and options in the Titan. The overall handling, comfort, and style of the Titan is unmatched. The one and only complaint that I have is true with every other full-size truck on the market, the fuel economy is very poor. But what do you expect from a true V8 motor?
Favorite Features
The comfortable interior, and the large standard V8.
Suggested Improvements
Find a way to make a big V8 fuel efficient.

I absolutely love this truck. I cannot believe how amazing the MPG ~18 city/hwy mix. Before, I had an R/T Durango that only got 10.5mpg. This truck is really fast, I barely have to use the gas pedal. The backup sensors are a really nice feature. It has really nice seats, very supportive and comfortable. They are even more comfortable than my Mercedes SUV. The towing mirrors make it easier to see vehicles in blind spots. Really Easy and fun to drive for a big vehicle. I have already put 800 miles on the odometer in less than a week.
Favorite Features
Audio controls for the steering. Even when you forget to turn off your lights, the truck does it for you after a few minutes(without auto lamps). The purr of the exhaust.
Suggested Improvements
Offer Texas Titan in other states. Give crome mirrors for SE model like 04-05. Make dusk sensing lighting for all models like Ford & GM. Make rolling locks standard like Ford & GM.
Power truck with roomy interior

Use this truck for work. V8 305 HP shows when you crank the gas pedal to leave other trucks behind. Best truck I have ever own.
Favorite Features
The powerful V8 engine. Start very quick for a full size truck. Six passenger room eliminate the need for a sedan.
Suggested Improvements
Not have the stereo display show up in the rear view mirror.

Great fun to drive, leaving Hemi's in the dust! Corners like a sports coupe. Five speed transmission is perfect. Load or trailer doesn't even change anything. Lots of room inside.
Favorite Features
Ride, performance, handling, room.
Suggested Improvements
Too many trips to the dealer for little stuff. Every part my truck has needed had to be ordered, waiting for the part, and another trip to the dealer. What happened to the idea that the Dealer would have parts in stock?

I have always driven a new Chevy 1500 series 4x4 Z71 for the last 14 years. My mother is a GM retiree, so trading truck every year was a breeze...until the last 2 years. I decided to look at the Titan, since I had nothing to loose except money on another Chevy. I was very impressed with the look and feel of the Titan. It sounds very commanding and will throw you back in your seat when you give it the gas. It's one of the most comfortable cabins I have every ridden or driven in. The shorter front end makes cornering and tight curves very nice. If you drive this truck, you will want one for sure. Yes, the MPG is less but it's a real truck..not a car.
Favorite Features
Shorter front end, Ballsy engine and throttle response, aggressive look and feel, cabin comfort, center console appeal, tons of storage space, Off-Road package with 33" tires, Rockford Fosgate 350 watt stereo with 10 speakers and sub...WOW!
Suggested Improvements
I would love to see a diesel model. Would also like to see a smart engine that would cut off 2 or 4 cylinders during light driving to save gas. Otherwise, it's one of the best trucks on the road. Drive one and you will see for yourself.

Titan's power is great and going 0 - 60 is just as fun as it is in a car. It rides smooth and handles like a car, and yet it's rugged enough to dig through a swamp or pull your 9500 lb. camping trailer. The interior and exterior are large and appealing. The Titan very practical as passenger, work, or playing vehicle!!
Favorite Features
I enjoy the Rockford Fostage Audio system. The lether, power front bench seat. The towing package is great. The spray-in bedliner with its track tyedown system is great.
Suggested Improvements
steering wheel could have more controls like ac. AC controls could be buttons instead of spinning a wheel and located a bit higher. Wiper blade controls gets bumped easily. Gas pedal control too low. Controls need to be placed higher and closer.

Review
I absolutely love this truck! It took me a long time to decide on whether to buy a Titan due to the quality issues in the past. All issues have supposedly been fixed and I have had no problems. Ride and interior noise are similar to new F150's. It's rather odd to hear a throaty exhaust note coming from an import truck but it does not become annoying. Auto dual climate control is a nice option albeit a little confusing at first. The power folding mirrors are great for tight parking spots. Overall I am extremely please with the vehicle.
Favorite Features
Rockford Fosgate stereo, steering wheel mounted controls, utility bed, exhaust note, lockable storage in bed, power folding mirrors, VERY roomy cab!
Suggested Improvements
Larger A/C and radio displays.
