I Love This Car!

Review

I'm a Mini lover from way back, and never dreamed I'd own my own. Now that I do, I'm finding that a car is not just a car, it's an identity, a conversation starter, a hobby, an entertainment, and so much more. My kids ride in the back, and all they can talk about is becoming old enough to be able to drive it. Even my husband, who is a tough sell, says we'll never sell it and one day, it will be our own cool, classic car. It is light on storage, but that's not why I bought it and I find a way to carry whatever I need to. Thanks to Mini for building such a marvelous automobile. I'm in love!

Favorite Features

Interior design, stereo (Harman Kardon), brakes, cornering, power sun roof, gas mileage, exterior design, reliability.

Fun Car, not exactly reliable.

Review

I bought this cute car in 2003 and absolutely loved the interior and styles of the outside. I also loved the fact it had great fuel economy. At first it was real fun but alot of issues cropped up including one cell in the battery going bad causing the whole car to not start. Regular electric issues were found including after warranty was out such as windows, heat etc. These issues were sporadic and would work most of the time.

Favorite Features

Gas mileage and the look, style, and feel of the car. It was a great car to drive.

Suggested Improvements

Handling could have been smoother. The reliability should be worked as well as the dealer network. If you move due to work you can be really out of luck.

Review

I have owned several affordable performance cars and this is by far my favorite. The comfort and build quality are just so so, but you don't care because it is so much fun to drive on a daily basis. Anyone who likes driving needs to own a MINI at sometime in their life.

The power, the sound the car makes, the handling.

Suggested Improvements

Better gas mileage (it's not that great considering it's a 1.6L), fewer rattles, and more dealerships where you can get service (there is only one in my entire state).

Expensive to own!

Review

This is a really fun car to drive but very expensive to own. Have owned less than two years and have had one thing after another malfunction. Fragile and only the dealer seems to know how to repair. Hit a pothole and had to replace the tire and rim for $1000! Considering selling and buying something more reliable.

Zippy to drive, bonnet stripes, cute to look at

Outstanding on all levels from quality to service professionality. BMW put it's high standards on this and it definitely shows.

Review

My wife says I love the car more than her...not true, but it is a fantastic and fun vehicle. Of the many cars I've owned, I have had more fun driving the Cooper than any other. As gas prices rose, the Cooper is even more beneficial, as I average above 30 mpg, even in the city. Overall, a pleased customer!

This is simply the best car i have ever owned. I have driven and owned several other cars some of even greater sticker value, but this is just simply the most fun you could ever have in a car. There is just nothing that can beat the driveableity, sportiness and overall fun this car delivers. Not only that, it is easy to keep on the road because you don't constantly get gouged by expensive trips to the gas station because the fuel econmy is so great. On the highway I can average 40+ mpg at 70+ mph

Loving My Baby Mini

Review

I couldn't have gotten a better car. We have two babies and are both tall people. My husband is over 6'5 and doesn't have to roll the seat all the way back. We take this car everywhere. We can use it for short overnight trips but not for long ones where we will need to bring a lot of baby gear. We are just amazed at the amount of space we have. The gas mileage of this car is also out of this world. I am just in love with our Mini and can't wait till we can get another. We are part of a Mini club and go around with other's who enjoy their's just as much.

The seating...it is very comfortable.

Suggested Improvements

There have been so many upgrades since ours that I couldn't really suggest any at this point.

I love my Mini! This is the best car I have ever had. I can't complain. The gas milage is awesome, I can park it anywhere I want, and for a little thing the power is unreal! The stereo system is awesome too. I recomend anyone to get a Mini. Oh yeah one more thing, this little car gets a lot of attention!

Review

I bought my Mini Cooper S used with 17,000 on it for a fair price. It is one of the best cars ever driven. People stare, smile, and ask questions wherever you stop. This car is fun, fun, fun. That's all you can really say. Downside - this is not a family car, but it is perfect for two and the occasional three or four. At 20,000 miles, I had to have the slave cylinder replaced (leaking). This was all taken care of under warrenty.

Favorite Features

The acceleration and gas consumption are great. I am getting over 35 mpg with 'very' careful driving but that can go down consiterably with a heavy foot. This car corners like it is on rails. I would buy another one.

Suggested Improvements

Change the cigarette lighter position (obviously this car was designed by a non-smoker). Give it more cup holder room. Relocate the 'heated seat' switches - they can get turned by accident.
