Quality Problems with Mercury Mariner

Quality Problems with Mercury Mariner

I have a 2006 Mariner that is good but I have had a number of basic build quality issues. 1) I had to replace the 2 front brake rotors after only 19,000 miles. I asked the mechanic if they were under warranty and he said no, they just wore out from use. WHAT? I have not changed my driving style and this is my seven new vehicle (generally I drive SUVs). I have never had to replace ... Read More...

Mercury Mariner Real World MPG

Re: Mercury Mariner: MPG-Real World Numbers [steve_]

I have a 2006 Mariner I bought new. I drive in the city (D.C.) everyday and since it is generally rush hour - I drive it hard with lots of starts and stops for traffic (still only a 30 minute commute which is great compared to my coworkers). I average about 14.5 mpg. It is significantly better on the highway 22-24 mpg but I rarely take it off city/suburban streets. Definately ... Read More...

New Mercury Mariner Lease

They were quoting like $330/ month for the convenience mariner. Finally they seemed to figure out what we wanted and explained that that deal was ... Read More...

RE: HOW DID I DO $$$$ ???2006 MAZDA TRIBUTE [realsales]

Your Mazda Tribute should get around 19 to 20 mpg City and 24 to 26mpg hwy. I have a 2005 Mercury Mariner (same engine as the Ford escape and your Mazda Tribute. I make at least three roundtrips per year from Florida to NJ and have always averaged 24 to 26 mpg hwy (and that is doing about 65 to 75 mph on Rt.95 most of the way (except for that darn Washington D.C. beltway area). ... Suggestons from Mazda Tribute online buying exp

This is the first car I’ve purchased since getting my internet connection in 1998 and my take on online car buying is: If you want the lowest price you need to know beforehand EXACTLY what you want and let the dealer know you’re ready buy NOW; don’t ask for three demo drives in the same car, wait for weeks to decide and then expect a great price. My philosophy is that ... Read More...
