Re: 2009 Honda Ridgeline Adds Power, New Look and More Standard Equipment [aspesisteve]
Ohhhhh, I agree about the rear seat. I rode for some hours in the back seat of our 2006. The bottom of the seat is ok, but the back is somewhat hard. Worse, it is too straight up. If it would only be reclined more, it would be much more comfortable. With the seat back not movable, I would think it could have more of a recline. It might reduce the legroom, but I think the loss ... Read More...

I see nothing significantly different from my 2006. Still missing are these important items: -Power passenger seat. -Memory controls for seats and mirrors. Read More...
Re: Turbo-diesel please. [fenris2]
Recently I checked the gasoline mileage on my 2006 Honda Pilot and on a 100 mile trip (80/20 hwy/city) I averaged 31.5 mpg. The Pilot is 2wd with the variable cylinder management system. Why has Honda not used this system in the Ridgeline? It is supposed to yield a 15% increase in mpg. Just curious. Read More...
Honda Ridgeline Lease Questions
Re: RTS Lease - Cuppy1 [cuppy1]
"I strongly suspect that consumer auto leases (at least those sponsored by the auto manufacturers) will be history by the end of the year. Chrysler has already announced that they will exit the lease business on August 1st. Cerberus Capital not only owns Chrysler and Chrysler Financial but controlling interest in GMAC as well. So I suspect GM will follow shortly. ... Read More...
Re: Turbo-diesel please. [wwest]
It is well known that Honda has a 6-cylinder diesel in the works. It's slated for the Pilot, Odyssey, Ridgeline and probably some Acura models as well. I expect to see it in 2010 or 2011. Here are a few links stating that: http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061205/FREE/61204019/1024/c- - ara_submit http://www.autoblog.com/2006/12/04/honda-may-outfit-ridgeline-and-others-with-v6- ... Honda Ridgeline Maintenance and Repair
Re: 1st time Honda Owner [frankc55]
What is the milage on your Ridgeline? If it has some miles on it, remember, it's a truck. It rides somewhat rough over the rough roads, andd this is going to generate more rattles that a sedan with soft suspension. My 2006 with 16,000 miles has developed it's first rattle (except see below) somewhere on the right passenger side. Overall I'm happy with it. Ridgelines, ... Read More...
Honda Ridgeline Real World MPG Numbers
Fuel Economy
I'm retired after 45 years in the retail automobile business. One of the regular complaints I receive from customers was regarding poor fuel economy. I found there are a few things that everyone needs to consider regarding this subject as follows: 1. The mileage figures posted on the vehicle are provided to the manufacturers by the EPA. They ARE NOT from the manufacturer. ... Read More...

Re: Help! My Interior Floor is soaking wet! [jclay1965]
Lots and lots of leaky 2006 Ridgelines in the first few months of production. I bought in Nov of 2005, truck built in Oct 2005 I think. The production line problems (bad welds) were supposed to have been fixed by then. The plate on the driver's door gives the month and year the truck was built. 2006 production started in what, Jan 2005? Anything built in the first 6 ... Read More...
Re: Help! My Interior Floor is soaking wet! [jclay1965]
Update on our 2006 Ridgeline with the saturated floor... dealer said they 'think they fixed the leak' and wanted to wait a few weeks for the carpet to dry out to see if the problem was solved. I insisted on new carpet now since it's butt cold outside and I don't want to deal with the moldy/musty smell inside. Dealer says it will take about 1 week for the new carpet to arrive. ... Toyota Tacoma vs Honda Ridgeline
I've Owned Both
I traded my 2006 Tacoma 2wd DblCab Off Road for a 2007 Ridgeline. I was worried regarding some of the "leaking" posts along with other problems (struts), but after hanging around the Tacoma forum, I know that ALL vehicles have issues, including my Tacoma. I decided to go for it. I recouped within $500 of price paid new for the Taco, and RL's being soft, $5,000 off ... Read More...
