Mazda 6 Wins Edmunds' Inside Line Family Sedan Comparison Test

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — September 11, 2008 — Inside Line, Edmunds.com's high-speed online car magazine, recently announced that the 2009 Mazda 6 won its latest comparison test of family sedans, which is described in full at Comparison Test: 2009 Mazda 6 vs. 2008 Honda Accord vs. 2008 Nissan Altima.

The Inside Line editorial team compared three similarly positioned family sedans:
"All three of the sedans have something to offer," says Chris Walton, Edmunds' Inside Line Chief Road Test Editor. "But the 2009 Mazda 6's sporty driving dynamics, features and well thought-out design gave it the overall victory."

The 2008 Honda Accord came in second place and impressed the editors with its value, refinement and build quality. The 2008 Nissan Altima, despite its price advantage, trailed the pack as a result of missing features and failing to fulfill its historical promise of being the sportiest front-drive sedan in its class.
